Golden moments

I woke last night to the sound of thunder

How far off I sat and wondered

Started humming a song from 1962

Ain’t it funny how the night moves

When you just don’t seem to have as much to lose

Strange how the night moves

With Autumn closing in

I was listening to music a couple of days ago and Night Moves started playing and when these words came flowing out it struck me that was one of those golden moments . When you actually feel the words and music in your soul .For me , these words started a series of flashbacks ,of memories ,of people lost , places traveled to , sunrises and sunsets . A life lived , children born , driving to fast , road trips with no destination. Needless to say this song spoke to me at that moment .

All of that to say music is part of the journey . Whether the song is tied to the memory or the memory is tied to the song . We all have those moments when something as simple as a line from a song can wake up something inside of us that takes us to somewhere else ,or somewhen else . And whether we smile or cry ,in the end these are golden moments . Each one unique to the person . This was my attempt to share one of mine .

I owe Mr. Bob Seger a thank you for giving me that moment . I hope everyone reading this finds their own Golden Moment.
